Liverpool have signed PSV striker Cody Gakpo, with a surprise transfer that was wrapped up quickly.
Although yet to be confirmed by LFC, PSV have announced on their official site that the deal is done. Gakpo had previously been linked with Man United, and it was thought that they were going to sign the striker in January, with Fabrizio Ramano highlighting earlier in the day that a deal was close:
Cody Gakpo hasn’t changed his mind on Manchester United. He was keen on joining last summer and this is still the case, discussions with his agents have always been positive. 🔴🇳🇱 #MUFC

Liverpool stepped in quickly however, after injuries to Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz left their attacking options short. No shirt number has been confirmed as of yet, as we’re still awaiting official confirmation from LFC, but it’s only a matter of time.
